Description

The “Poison Ring”, or “Container Jewellery” line, represents the second stage of the life. Once we have gained something with such a hard fight, we wish to save and protect it. All bags, pockets, gourds are about having a container with us at all times. As the jewellery we wear becomes a part of us, so does the contained treasure we place in it. As long as we survive, the treasure survives. Technically these pieces are far more complex than the “Axe Rings”. While most axe rings are made by working off the excess from a block of metal, the container jewels are elaborately fabricated from many parts. In the “keeping” stages, we realize that we now have time and material to construct, and even decorate. This reminds me of how we make a shelter, and then when it is ready, we put the first picture on the wall to make it up to a home. So comes a gem on the lid of the poison ring.
